The first time I jumped on a call with Davis & Anna, they said something that stood out to me – “everyone saw this engagement coming” – and that definitely reigned true when I met them. There is no denying that these two are meant to be.
We had been trying to shoot for quite some time, but our sessions were getting postponed either to weather or scheduling – and as their save the dates needed to be sent out soon, this was a now-or-never kind of day.
We arrived at the Filioli Garden – a luxurious estate in Woodside, California. We strolled around capturing intimate moments, as Davis and Anna would hide away between every few shots to warm up and dry off from the rain coming down. Although, these two still embraced the rainy day and danced around sharing their love. It gave me feelings of watching an Italian love story unravel.
Anna then transitioned into a gorgeous silk slip mini dress, and as they ran through the gardens – the moments created were absolutely breathtaking.
To end the session, the Davis & Anna built a champagne tower – and I thought this was such a sweet idea! If you want to include a champagne tower in your photos, but can’t necessarily do it for the wedding – the engagement session is the perfect time to create the scene & it allows you to share in that experience together.
This day was a reminder that being engaged is a chapter to celebrate your love, and engagement photos should be apart of that story, too. Counting the days until I get to capture their wedding soon!
